Case ― Business Blekinge
Making the business world come to you
The region of Blekinge is not big. In fact it’s very small, with some 150.000 people spread out over an area of 130 times 40 kilometers. But on this tiny piece of land, there are both historical and recently established industries, companies – businesses – to such an extent that you would be surprised.
The Regional Council of Blekinge came to Milou with a simple request – help us get the attention of international businesses and venture capitalists so that they have Blekinge on the radar when it comes to their next investment. A huge but extremely inspiring task. First of all to get Blekinge as a name out there and then make them understand the possibilities and all the fantastic opportunities that exist should they locate their next venture to the region.
Our ideation phase soon identified video as the primary media for us in order to get the message through. And we filled them with cases, references, showing successful businesses and the way they established themselves in Blekinge. All references also related to a certain “selling point” representative for the region – networking, access to markets, tangible assets, talent and innovation. The videos were done as personal interviews with responsible people in each organization and focused on telling their respective story behind the decision to run their business in the region.
To both carry and further explain the stories from the videos, we designed and developed a website where all of Blekinge’s selling points were described together with information around how to practically go about when establishing themselves in the region. All of this making the website a central hub – “Business Blekinge” – for international investments.
In addition, a leaflet to be used at conferences and handed out at lectures, was designed and written – completing the trinity of videos, website, print material. Milou’s complete delivery of concept, design, filming, post production, copywriting and web development, has been very well received and is now essential in the promotion of “Business Blekinge”.
